Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that everybody has been nice all year long and ended up getting the presents that they wanted. Now that this portion of the holiday season is over, we are finally in the finish line towards the new year. Just hold on everyone. You. Can. Do. It. While most of you are now on your Christmas break, as an freelancer my workload isn't quite fully done yet and my days are still somewhat busy. As such, I find myself requiring an outfit that will translate well from day to night and that is end-of-year party appropriate.

This COS ensemble is one such example of the type of outfits you might see me wearing this week. While I do tend to spend the rest of the year in various shades of blue, the winter holiday season is the time where I will delve into burgundy shades. There is something simply festive about a good wine coloured top, perhaps because it reminds me of my favourite drink this time of year, mulled wine. While I do love myself a good wine pairing (haha see what I did there?), a whole ensemble in the shade might make the whole look fall a tad flat.  As such, I decided to layer this blue crew neck sweater on top of my turtleneck, creating a contrast in colour, an interesting break in texture and providing much needed protection against the Canadian cold. To finish off the look, I’m wearing thick wool socks and my beloved Matteo Bertoni boots as my favourite mode of transportation, even in winter, is walking.

This will be my last blog post for 2017 but I want to wish everyone a fantastic rest of the year and thank you all for reading my blog week after week. See you all in 2018!

Lots of Love.
