Greenhouse Juice co. finally decided to sink their roots in one of the trendiest spots in Toronto. Located at 740 Queen Street West, the newest store features the green thumbs behind Crown Flora and marks a collaboration that was a long time coming. Hana James, co-founder and Director of Community for Greenhouse Juice Co, mentioned how Crown Flora has been providing their stores with fresh plants for a while now and as such, it made sense for them to open up a store together.
The genius of the collaboration lays in the fact that Greenhouse Juice co. and Crown Flora both have fantastic personal brand identities that marry well to each other's. The inclusion of classic greenhouse elements to the decors of the Greenhouse Juice co. stores weave a lush image once paired with the beautiful greenery that Crown Flora is known for.
The new location marks the launch of a line of Greenhouse Juice Co. products that had been exclusive to the Macpherson store until now. Visitors of the Queen West location now have the option to order from Greenhouse’s smoothie menu which included the Rococoa, an addictive concoction made with almond milk, bananas and cacao among other things.
I had the chance to take part in a workshop offered by Crown Flora where the participants were taught how to create their own terrariums by Adam Mallory, co-founder of the company. His extensive knowledge of the products he offers was a true testament to the love he puts into the business, and the workshop was an absolute delight. In the past, Crown Flora hosted such workshops at their original location at Queen and Dufferin, but one would hope that with the new store, they will finally be able to host those events closer to the downtown core.
This symbiotic relationship between the two brands created a much needed oasis in an area devoid of stores offering similar products. Welcome to the Queen Street West neighbourhood Greenhouse Juice co./ Crown Flora. You can expect to see me there often.
